Anyone have a solution? i got a 2006 gs300 and need this bluetooth to work!

I had this same exact problem! It drove me crazy, and i took it in a few times for it to no luck. I decided to try another dealership and we found the problem as soon as i pulled up. When you open the door, there is a button on the frame of the car. When you close the door, it pushes this button in. Occasionally, when the door is opened, this button sticks making the car not realize that the door is opened (and therefore not triggering the actions you want). Have them replace this "button" or "switch" and you should be golden.

I have checked for and never receive the door ajar display on my dash when i close the door...

Hey Everyone, Ive been a reader on here for a few years now and want to start off by thanking you all for all of your valuable knowledge...but now, I have a question and need help! I have a 2006 GS300 and have recently been having problems with whatever mechanism triggers when the driver door is opened. I currently have it programmed to turn off the lights immediately and unlock all doors after the car is parked, turned off, and the driver door opened. However, in the past few months I have noticed that opening the door does not always trigger these actions, leaving me to close the door and re-open it a few times, until it does finally trigger. I have taken the car in to the dealer a few times for this specific problem, but they have not been able to find out what the problem is and what might be causing it. They even claim that they "can not replicate" the issue, which is total BS. I need to know a) if anyone else has ever had this problem and B) what is the technical terminology for this issue. Basically, what is the part name on the driver door which triggers the action, and how can this be resolved. ANY and ALL feedback is welcome. Thanks!

So I have had my 2006 Gs300 for 2 yrs now (i got it in 05) and have had very few problems with it. This one is mind-boggling. For the past 2 yrs when i park the car in my garage (with the headlights set on auto) they turn off automatically after a few minutes after i leave the car. But recently, they have been staying on sometimes! I have to go back and manually turn the switch to off. Any idea what might be causing this? Please post, thanks!

i am also looking to add an ipod/iphone hook up to the auxiliary connection somehow...PLEASE post if you have any knowledge about what we can attach besides satellite radio

Im also looking for an upgrade from the 06 to the 07 navi...PLEASE post if you find ANY upgrades...also, any tips on upgrading from the original navigation dvd to a newer version with upgraded streets (looking for a free solution)?

I must say, i was VERY hesitant to do this...I played it very safe and it took me about 1.5 hrs to complete this. So far, everything is working as planned...I can play a dvd and dial on-screen while in motion. I did face a few hurdles while doing this: 1. be careful not to scratch the center "wood" console when removing it. I had to use some force on the passenger side while removing this. 2. After you have removed the bolts on each side, I had a bit of a hard time pulling out the whole nav unit. Once again, I had to carefully apply some force to each side to pull it out. 3. Cutting wires: be very careful when doing this. I especially had an issue with the pink wire...be sure to leave enough space for errors. I live in the Los Angeles area and am willing to come out and help you out if you are nearby. I can show you that it works in my car, and will charge about $150 to do it again for someone else. aim: viper1613
