I had the same problem in an older car, turns out that both brake light burnt out within a couple days of each other. Couldn't shift out of park because the solonoid is wired in series with the brake light bulbs, when the bulbs burn out they "open" the circuit. Also, check the switch. It's a real simple switch that snaps into place. This and the wire connection can easily be kick off with a wandering foot... Joe

Can you also divide the ES forum to 90-01 ES then 02-06 ES these are very differnt models. I am constantly skimming through threads looking for info for my car, only to find most of the information is for 90-01 style ES's.

Hey all, got an 03 es300, I was wondering if the tail lights from an 05/06 Es will fit on the 03? I love the look of the new ones, and I'm willing to drop the dime if they'll fit.......
