I bought a 1992 ES 250 in March of 2005 with 97,213 miles on it. In July my son borrowed my car to go to a golf tournament. He fell asleep with cruise on. (80 in texas) He ended up inbetween the interstate lanes approaching an underpass. He jumped the car from the top of the underpass across two lanes of traffic below and into the concret upslope on the other side. He walks away with airbag burns and a !Removed! nose. The tow truck guy says he sees more people walk away from Toyota/Lexus accidents than any other brand. I went out and bought the 1991 ES 250 that I drive today. I bought my daugher a new Camry. I am looking for an LS for my wife. I bought my son a bike!
I have a 1991 es 250. I need to replace the passenger taillight lense. I cannot find anything in the "Lexus Repair Manual".
Am I just missing it?
Do I need a different manual?
Thanks, in advance, for your posts. I appreciate the help.
I have had this experience before in an es 250. First it was a sensor in or near the distributor. Plastic case just gave way. My car would crank but would not start. Second time it was the wire from the distributor to the coil (located right next the battery) that corroded and came apart.
I have read many places about the 92-94 es 300's overheating. What I have yet to find is if there is any common problem that is the root cause. Why do they overheat?
I have a 1991 ES 250 that I love. Was going to be my son's college car. He was out grown the car. I need to find an ES 300 for him. What year should I buy? What are the common problems with the different years?
