95 bucks is a bit steep for a can of wax for the average do it yourself type. You can get fantastic results without breaking the bank. Lots of people here seem to like the Maguires products and I have to agree as well. Just make sure that you clay bar your car before you start. Even though it's new, you'll be surprised what will come off of the new paint.

I have to change mine too. Looks like a real bear to do!! Had the new filter sitting on the work bench for three weeks and still haven't attempted it.. When you do change it, make sure that you do not knock off any vacuum lines, or if you do, make sure that they are connected when you're finished. This could set off the VSC light on the dash. Did you recently have an oil change or any other service work done?? On my Highlander, when the air box lid is removed to check the filter, a vacuum hose pulls out. Within a day, the lights come on. Plug the hose back in and the lights will go off within a few days. I make sure that I check this hose every time it's serviced for anything.. It's worth a shot to check it out. Just peek around the air box with a flashlight and look for a loose hose. I'll bet you find one..

Can we get some pictures of this from someone?? On my 07, the filter element is inside the allum. housing. There is nothing else present. This is what I did: Took off the housing with the 3/8 drive Dump the oil out, as it was filled. Remove the gasket and filter element Clean the housing Reinsert the new element and gasket Replace the housing. Where is this piece which needs to be pierced with the plastic tube?? What does it look like. It had to work, as I have no leaks anywhere.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure what everyone is talking about either.. On my 07, the filter element sits inside an allum. housing. The housing is removed with a standard socket wrench, I just can't remember if it's 3/8 or 3/4.. No other sockets or tools are needed. In addition, there is nothing to drain and therefore do not need the white plastic piece. Once the housing has broken loose, there are fingers (for the lack of a better term) to grab onto to spin the housing off. I do have a small mess though when I first unscrew the allum. housing, as it's filled with oil. I just make sure that it's cleaned out real good before dropping the new element and gasket in. Other than that, unless I'm doing something wrong, it's pretty straight forward.

I used to take mine to my local mechanic to have the oil changed. I missed my last appointment and decided to do it myself. It wound up being much easier than I expected. I heard that you need special filter removal tools and such, however nothing could have been further from the truth, at least on an 07. I admit that I was intimidated, however after doing it once, it'll never go anywhere else for an oil change. Good luck in whatever you decide..

I may have the answer.. Our 07 did the same thing. Had five discs in the changer and nothing would work. I left the unit on, listing to the radio, and forced the player to power on and off everytime I started and stopped the vehicle. After about a week or so, the disc popped out. I immediately threw the disc in the garbage, and the player has been working fine ever since. I don't know what type of disc you're using, by most if now all of mine are aftermarked discs that I burn mp3's onto. Every now and then, you'll come across a disc that is not perfect. These audio systems are really finicky and will throw errors on ones that are not perfect. Hope this helps.. Ron..

Since Sirus is not an option from the factory, I've moved my existing radio and am using the magnetic antenna on the roof. Are there issues with water or rust or any long term issues that can be caused by keeping this magnet in the same spot? I remove it and clean it when I wash the vehicle and so far it's been okay. I can remember the old CB radio magnetic mounted antenna's and the damage they would do to the paint. Just wondering.. thanks Ron..

This is true. It works well too. I guess they realized that this was a needed feature.. My complaint is that you have to press a button and wait for that woman to tell you to speak after the beep.. By the time you're using a voice command, you could have manually completed the task. Perhaps 'audio on' and 'audio off' werent meant for voice activation.. Ron..

Don't touch it!! Wait it out and let the dealer work on it. The dealer wanted 800 bucks to install Sirius in my 350 so I could only imagine what it would cost if you broke something and it wasn't covered under warranty. If you have to touch it, may I suggest a small 5 pound sledge! Just kidding.. Good luck! Ron..

Tire Rack recommends Flynns in my area to handle and install custom wheels. I went there and found out that there are not too many options for the 07 RX350 because the wheel size has changed from 8 and a half to 8 inches in width. I found American Racing 'Casino' wheels, got a great deal on them, had them installed by Flynns, and they look great.. Check your local shops first. This way, if in the unlikely event there are problems, you'll have a personal 'throat to choke' so to speak.. Chances are though, if it's a reputable shop, you'll be more than satisfied, like I was.. If you are in a good position to purchase it now and you want it now, buy it now. If you wait a few months, something might come up like Xmas and you may decide to even wait longer. We (wife and I) also heard that Lexus does not give deals so planned on paying the sticker price. Not to mention that this was in May and we were trading two cars. Well, right off the bat, they knocked a few thousand off of the sticker. Then they gave us more that we expected for our two trade in's and we took the 350 right off of the showroom floor. To us, it was a bonus.. Yes, they do make deals and yes, I'm glad that we did not wait. Don't expect the one on the lot today will still be there in a few months, chances are, it won't be. You'll definately pay more if the dealer has to find one for you because the one you really wanted was sold. Good luck, you'll love it!! Ron..

I'm looking to replace the stock 18 inch wheels with some nice chromes on my RX350. There seems to be many places on the internet which sell wheels, however which ones are recommended? Are there any shops which anyone can recommend? Are there any to stay away from? Any help would be appreciated.. thanks Ron..

I just turned 2000 miles on my 350. None of the issues that you mention are present in this vehicle. Perhaps when I rack up some more miles on it, the rattles will occur. I've never owned a vehicle that didn't rattle. Want to talk rattles, let's talk about vettes!! Good gawd! I've owned two of them and had to shove pieces of thin foam in the cracks to help stop the noise. I guess though you don't buy a vette for the quiet ride.. Ron..

I'm not having any issues with my 350 either, although I've only just recently hit 1000 miles.. Hopefully your problem will be isolated and corrected soon! At least you have a workaround to bypass it in the meantime.. Ron..

Hello everyone, a newbie here. I recently purchased an Flint Mica 07 RX350 and found this board while surfing for Lexus stuff. After crusing the forums for a while, a long while, I thought I'd join. The RX 330 is an SUV that I had admired for a long time, I just never thought I could afford a high class vehicle. When I took my wife the the Lexus dealer just to 'neb', we were both hooked. So I did some homework, traded in a Corvette and a 300m, and took the one off the showroom floor. I didn't even know that the 330 was replaced by the 350. I couldn't be happier. This vehicle is a dream machine. The Lexus dealer treated us like gold and I have no complaints. We still have our Toyota Highlander and plan to run both vehicles into the ground! I really enjoy pouring through all of the posts, there is a ton of valuable info here. Enough said.. thanks! Ron..
