Pushed my 03 gs300 too far - 464 miles was too much for it I guess - just a couple miles before the gas station too! Used lexus roadside assistance for the first time (bought this car used a few months ago) - pleased with the results took about an hour but not too bad. At any rate, my check engine light is on as well as the VSD and VSD off light... I havent re-fueled yet, but there is about 2 gallons of gas in the car, will it go off after its full or can I do something to get them turned off? getting about 24 MPG - mostly highway, is that about as good as it CAN be? Would a CAI increase the MPG, ive heard it can (plus a good excuse for a mod)... Thanks Ross

I too think the stock system is pretty good - but I would like to get just a bit more bass out of the sub - what is the easiest way to do this? I was thinking I could just hook up an aftermarket amp to the existing sub to get it hitting a little harder - thoughts? Ross 03 gs300

My front right tire grinds pretty bad when slowing down - im pretty sure i just need new brake pads - Is their something I should get instead of OEM pads - whats the difference? Thanks Ross

Just noticed today that when I brake the front left seems to have a noise coming from it...its only noticable when your slowing/stopping around 15mph or under - over that you cant tell. Its pretty hard to hear with the windows UP too.. Any ideas on what it could be, what to check first?

Wow - I guess I shouldnt complain about 23! Ive had at least a tank thats been almost all city and I dont think ive seen below 22. Anyone hear of ways to get better gas mileage? I think AC is better than windows down - according to myth busters # ; )

Just curious to see what kinda mileage you are all getting...Ive been averaging anout 23 and thats getting 92-93 octane - I didnt fill it with 87 once and didnt notice any difference driving wise or MPG wise - which I thought was odd. Its very flat here in indiana and its a pretty good mix of city-hwy driving. Not sure if their is anything I can do to increase my gas mileage ? Anyone put a CAI in their lexus - wondering how much boost that will give me and if it helps out gas mileage? TIA Ross

Just got my first lexus - 2003 gs300. It has the 6disc in glove box - 6 speakers (not positive what brand they are) plus a Sub - looks like 10 or 12" Sounds pretty great for it being "factory" wondering if anyone has added a small amp to the stock sub to give it a bit more punch? I had 2 12" subs a huge amp and all sorts of nice stuff in my previous ride (89 240sx) - It pounded pretty hard for that small of a car - at any rate I dont have the money to get all that put in my lexus - plus im pretty satisfied - but a little more bass would probably keep me happy for a bit longer # ; )

Proud new owner of my first Lexus. I got a 2003 GS300 - Dark (midnight?) blue with black interior. Have had it about 45 days now and only 1 complaint - Its harder than crap to keep this thing lookin nice! I guess this is really the first dark colored car ive had! Just a short rain and it looks like crap again! Any suggestions on how to keep it clean? Doing the DIY wash doesnt even work well if you dont manually dry it or it shows all the water spots - even with the "spot free rinse". Ziebart has that extra coat of clearcoat ive heard about but im not sure if that would help or not? Any help would be great! Also - looking to see a bunch of GS300 pics to get some ideas on what kind of rims/tires to get for mine and what types of mods people do to theirs. Thanks Ross
