  1. Strange I have never seen anything of the sort. Are you talking about the REAR screen or front? as far as the headphones there is a switch on the side of the headphone that turns it ON and OFF, so first you have to make sure they are ON, and of course the rear screen has to be on (as strange as it might seem you CAN turn it OFF from the front) then with the remote make sure you rear SOURCE is DVD (or whatever you want it to be) and the headphones should work... perhaps try selecting the REAR source to be different from what you are listening to in the front (ie rear source being DVD and the front being FM for example). Other then that the headphones should work, just make sure the batteries are in there and there is nothing prevening the battery from working (the remote for example ships with a Plastic piece that does not allow battery to contact terminals until you remove it to prevent battery leaks)
  2. Hey guys, for those of you with Sirius Radio and Nav... do you have an issue where your Title and Artist get cutoff at the end (only half showing) ? Thanks
  3. I mounted the antenna on the right side of the roof, since if I mount it in the middle the rubber gasket sticks out too much but much less so in the corner hence the mounting point, you can run the antenna right under the gasket then down and under the panel sills (doors) to the seat... easy... now as far as the title, since the unit was designed to handle Satellite Radio I am sure it was made so to show full title, otherwise it would simply not work... (or so I would think) I believe that is normal because the present system wasn't designed for satellite radio text. Where did you mount the antenna?
  4. Hey all installed the ES sirius Kit... for some reason the Title and Artist are cut off at the end... I know some other people had that problem... any solution to that?
  5. There is really no separate control for the DVD Sound Level at least no hardware potentiometer that adjusts it, it is all in the software. I have not seen any controls for it in the software of the NAV either... DVDs are ALWAYS lower in volume then CDs just so you know, its the nature of the beast since they are 5.1 encoded. I am pretty sure that we will have to live with it... since all signals are processed in the multi-function unit then sent to the AMP then to speakers so increasing signal levels from the unit will change ALL signals, as far as increasing signal levels from the DVD, well that is a different matter, I would not touch those since these are pre-amp level signals and you can overload the circuit then again... the only way to do this would be to measure the actual levels coming in from CD changer vs. DVD player I can post the REPAIR MANUAL DIAGRAMS if you wish to measure the voltage yourself, SHOULD be the same..
  6. Yes I think we got the point that all are gone, the question is CAN YOU GET MORE?!?! and also since you seem to know about it, is the car PRE-WIRED (05 or 06) for the REAR DVD so that if you do buy a LEXUS DVD PLayer can you just PLUG AND PLAY? Thank you Sorry guys, All the units are gone.
  7. There is a Purple/white wire (its purple) in the second connector from the LEFT if you look behind the NAV system.. cut that, that's the speed sensor for the bluetooth... otherwise send a message to ZUBE (he knows the exact wire to cut).
  8. DCFISH, can you get more DVD Players and are the 2006 cars PREWIRED for them or do you need an additional ECU? email me Sorry they are all gone.
  9. If someone would find a supplier of Molex connectors and whoever has the coastaltech unit can take a look at hte board to see the wiring diagram we can just make the damn thing ourselves I would not imagine its particularly difficult... Yup, preaching to the choir, I've been waiting for this since July 05' but to be fair, they haven't charged my credit card yet and they might have a typo on the web site... Instead of being available soon 6~8 weeks, they might have meant 6~8 MONTHS!!! :D I should be getting it now ANY DAY!!!! -Alex (HOLDING my breath....) NOT!
  10. Hey all, Thanks to the help of ZUBE and others the Sirius install should not be an issue... however I was wondering if anyone installed BOTH Sirius AND XM tuners since the system allows for more then one SAT radio (SAT1 and SAT2). Also having two harnesses (ie two Y adapters) back to back is a problem or not? BTW: what are the part numbers for the XM radio install? Thanks
  11. Hey all... several GS onwers have successfully added DVD Changer (or Player) to their vehicles. As I understand it 05+ vehicles come either prewired (or DVD ready if you have the harness) for the Players/Changer. I was wondering if anyone added a DVD changer/player to their car and where they got the harness (or modified it). Also, I know some people added headrest monitors to their RSES vehicles I was curious what wires got tapped for audio/video and on-power. Also if anyone has a link to a good source of connectors (ie plugs that can work with factory wiring) please let me know since this would make many DIY projects much easier.
  12. Zube, Throw me an email at aramis@unforgettable.com I am in New Jersey as well, I am about to order the ES kit since several people did the install by simply connecting to the NAV harness then running the wire down the middle console and under passenger seat where they placed the reciever and then ran the antenna under the passenger door trim all the way to the back then up the rubber gasket of the rear gate to the roof... if you are saying that the LX kit simply has a longer harness from NAV to Reciever then I can get that since I would certainly benefit from having an external antenna though I can use one from my current Sirius reciever. ANyway throw me an email or a number so we can talk... I am in NJ. BTW: if you need a have a hook up for 6000k or 8000k quality HIDs cheap.. peace
  13. Just get yourself and ES330 Sirius Reciever (or XM ) and use the ES330 Fit Kit the reciever simply plugs into factory harness and then just run the antenna to the roof. Press AM button twice and you have control for your SAT radio (factory). It will run you around $300 For IPOD you need the Vaistech.com unit so that you can control IPOD from the Nav System another $250
  14. Buy the ES330 SIRIUS Reciever and ES330 Sirius Fit Kit (check them out on lexus-parts.com under ES330) they install into the factory harness and are controlled from the Nav SYstem after pressing the AM button twice (like in LX). Its a simple installation.
  15. Denso is the software manufacturer for the Nav system and Pioneer is the hardware manufacturer. There is Vaistech and Coastaltech that do some modding ie Override and IPOD/XM connections... Try this press VOLUME then press UPPER LEFT, LOWER LEFT, UPPER LEFT, LOWER LEFT, LOWER RIGHT corners for starters..
  16. DC ..... email reagarding the DVD player aramis@unforgettable.com Thanks
