  1. I never realized the GS had run flat tires ... oh well! Jason
  2. Thanks for the note about the trunk light, wow, never thought to RTFM. Ha! Thanks, Jason
  3. Got the passport 8500 for Christmas! It has the optional hardwire kit, but I lose the "mute" button which is useful when driving through the mall parking lot and the line of grocery stores. Anyone gone the hardwire mount have recommendations of where they put it ... up by rearview mirror, low left dash, etc. Thanks! Jason
  4. The car is damn near perfect as is .... What's your driving factor to upgrade? What color interior/exterior did you get. Jason
  5. Hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years. I have an 06 GS300 and during the hustle and bustle of buying the vehicle we overlooked it did not have the XM receiver. We got the fully loaded Mark Levinson, etc. However, no XM. I have received two quotes from Lexus for the XM head unit. One was $495 and one was $895. Neither technician really sounded knowledgeable. One told me there would be a control unit mounted, etc. I don't want a seperate control unit, I want to be able to use the on-wheel controls. So here's my thoughts: 1. Drive down to Lexus and find out what's the true price/scoop on the XM unit. (If anyone knows, do let me know please). 2. Go with the dealer installed XM 3. Go with the SoundLinQ adapter and use an XM head unit. 4. Go with the SoundLinQ adapter and use an iPod. I don't have either the XM head unit or iPod right now, so all the options are a new investment financially. It looks like 3 and 4 will cost about $500 plus install fees. Thoughts, ideas, etc. I don't want to use an FM modulator. Anyone have the SoundLinQ installed and can give feedback?? Jason
  6. I know some of the folks at Hendrick Lexus have the bypass on their own vehicles. Also, I have heard Freeman's has done bypass on some cars. I will call them on Friday. Jason
  7. Anyone done in the DVD Bypass in Charlotte, NC area? Jason
  8. Did anyone ever get a response from the company that made the harness for the Prius? jason
