  1. Is there a way to remove unused media sources (ipod, iheart, livex) from displaying as toggled through menu? I have already searched the Carista obd to no avail.
  2. After reading all the different forums out there I learned about the computer scanner and program called CARISTA. It's a plug in to the driver's underside dash computer connector. Do the search for it on line. I've been in contact with the manufacturer specifically about my 2019 RX 350. The answer is YES, this device and their downloadable app ,for both apple phones and android phones, has the ability to change the sensitivity on the rear hatch emblem for the touchless rear door opening process. Here;s the reply from CARISTA from my inquiry: We do have the following customizations for the model of your vehicle: Power rear hatch emblem sensor Power rear hatch emblem sensor sensitivity (this is the change we're discussing here) For more info on supported features, you may check here: https://caristaapp.com/en/supported-cars/lexus/rx/4th-gen As of Aug. 2023 the prices are $40 for the plug in computer adapter...this reads the Lexus computer and sends results to your cell phone via wifi. The downloadable app for the phone (that reads out the instructions and trouble codes that can be adjusted) is $10 for 1 month usage, 3 months for $20, 1 year for $50. Since I'd have to drive 90 min each way to a Lexus dealer, AND, because I purchased used, the dealer would be charging me at least 1 hr. This all makes it a no brainer for me to purchase for a month, to make the sensitivity adjustment, and just see what else the RX 350 is doing. NOTE: I DO NOT WORK FOR CARISTA...JUST A FRUSTRATED RX 350 OWNER. NO MATTER WHERE I SEARCHED I COULD NOT GET ANY INFO ON HOW TO CHANGE THAT EMBLEM OPTION. SO, THERE IT IS! :)
  3. Hi. It's actually Aug. 2023. If moderator needs to move this to a more up to date forum, please do. I am reading here that it is possible to change sensitivity on RX 350 rear door touchless emblem. It works intermittently, and I am careful about hand position. I know how to get to it, Some imply that it is changeable to more sensitivity and they've done so. Some that only the dealer can adjust it. I'm quite comfortable around electronics and wiring. Can anyone post how to change from the normal sensitivity to increase it to medium or high. I am drivin a previously owned 2019 F Sport. Love it. Thanks.
  4. 2019 RX 350 F Sport. Found under driver's seat. No seat hardware or missing plastic hold downs apparent. Can you help find it's origin?
  5. Just purchased and tried installing the Lexus OEM door edge guards. They come with all 4 guards, and labeled for each of the 4 specific doors. I am having a heck of a time installing, and I'm very good with tools and YOTA life! The issue is that I do utilize the instructions, and the templates, and the points to strike with a rubber mallet. HOWEVER, and I've only started on the driver's door....the stainless steel guards do not grasp the door edge, and immediately fall off. I have tried a few things...painters tape to hold guard on door, making sure that I lightly strike the mallet perpendicular to the guard and the door edge. Also, that the guard is in the correct location AND the wider (larger?) edge is on the outer part of the door (that would be the side of the guard with the curl in). I've spoken with Lexus dealer. No one seems to have experience with these Lexus door guards. Yet dealer parts guys say they sell a good deal of them. Though no one there has any experience either in the bays or parts. Any experience would be helpful please. I really appreciate you folks!
  6. Moderator...I just signed up. If this is in wrong forum location, please either send me the correct or please relocate. Don't mean to clog up the forums. Hi everyone. Just purchased 2019 RX 350 F Sport. Ha! Love it except for mirrors. Yep. The sensors darken way too much for my eyes. I'm in AZ., yet the rear view and the side view mirrors are too darn blackened for me. Canadian build, first sold to CA., USA. I'm thinking these are dark factory window tints. But the rear view mirror...wow, it's always almost black. I have tried the rear view mirror sensor OFF. I have tried the black tape on the back of the mirror sensor. I mean it's dark. Now I pulled what I believe is the 2 wire molex connector off the rear view mirror in order to actually remove the sensor from the mirror. It's the only wire harness to the mirror, though there are 2 multi wire harness' left in the housing outside the mirror bracket cover. If I removed the incorrect wires, I'd love to hear from you. Googling the issue doesn't turn up anything but the sensor hacks. With the car on the street, even with the darkened rear window, I can see quite well. So I know the tint isn't messing it up. Could this be as simple as just purchasing an after market rear view that would ergonomically fit over the OEM mirror? I don't use the remote control sensors on the mirror. Any suggestions? Now the side view mirrors, same darkening issue. I love the automatic folding, heating/defogging routines there. So I don't wish to mess with the wiring if possible. Though I'm not afraid to do so if I can get a diagram. I will eventually purchase the wiring and engine and starship enterprise electronics diagrams manuals. So many out there...any recommendations on those? So much to learn. The darn Lexus has it's own credit card, has learned how to call Las Vegas, and is betting on the Raiders for next season...I'm talking a brilliant car here! Again, it's a 2019 RX 350 F Sport. (yes, I learned on way home that the seats can freeze you butt off). See ya on the road, and due to the RX, in the lane. Lars
