  1. Anyone have any luck? It is 2023 and this thread is now roughly 8 years old and my 2005 Blizzard Pearl is peeling badly on the roof especially. I'd say 1/3 of the roof is peeled off.
  2. I realize that this thread is over 5 years old but my 2005 Blizzard Pearl GX 470 has recently begun to peel and flake on the doors and roof as well. The doors and roof look just like the photos shared above from Libby Brown. Not sure why it took longer for mine to peel? I have owned and riven it since 2007. I live in Southern Calif. I am hoping that since nothing has been posted on this thread in 5 years that something good came out of it??? Can someone please share that "good news"?!!
  3. Your post struck a nerve! I have an '05 GX470 (Blizzard Pearl) that I have owned since 2007. I have never had any of these sort of issues however, within the past year I have noticed little chipping and flaking on the doors as it connects to the silver liner of the window. They are small but numerous. But what is crazy is that I happened to wash my car by hand which I haven't down in years and as I got a ladder and started to do the roof, I was blown away as at least a 1/4 of the roof was flaked off and had large flakes that were still half attached and blowing in the wind! I figured the dealer wouldn't help much and the only thing I have done so far is I ordered a few paint pens of Blizzard Pearl online. I believe that this will help with the door chips but the roof flaking is way too large and not sure what to do there? Any ideas out there?
  4. Hey everyone, new to the forum here. I own 05 GX 470 for roughly 10 years. It has 238K mikes on it. Runs fantastic and I love it. Problem is recently the rear air bags have both blown and I need to replace. I was already considering a lift and a few other mods in order to make it a mildly converted off-road/overland vehicle. Shocks/struts/arms…..all of this is Greek to me so hoping that some of you could provide some great conversion ideas/tips for me? I took it to local Off Road Warehouse and they quoted me $4K for the rear replacement/lift. This was with an Icon coil over. thanks! Chris
