  1. They are the powdercoat silver/grey. Not chrome.
  2. I put on my new rims and am giving my brother my old ones for his 90 LS. We tried one on, its looks tight. Unfortunately, 3 of the rims have curb scratches, does anyone know where to get the paint after I polish out the scratches..... PLEASE HELP!!!!
  3. Yah Blue...your ride looks pimp. My compliments. One question for everyone....? Am I wrong to think my GS looks awesome stock? Don't get me wrong...most of the GS rides ive seen here look sweet. Maybe Im turning !Removed! or something. :D I just like the stock look for myself. Just wondering.
  4. Look in older posts and you will find answers to your inquiry. Good luck.
  5. If anyone is looking for a shop to have your Lexus repaired, I have a really good suggestion for where to take it in Southern California. The shop is called Luxury Motor Works in Monrovia, CA. This guy worked for Lexus for years and finally decided to open his own shop. He actually designed the remote start for the Lexus, and the remote hard top thingy for the SC430. His prices are more than fair, and he's an authorized Lexus repair shop. Meaning he can do warranty work as well. I can promise you, there arent many more mechanics who know the Lexus as well as he does. My car will never be repaired anywhere else...and I live in Vegas. It's worth the 3 1/2 hour drive.
  6. I was in the market for the 5 spoke GS400 rims for my 2000 GS300, and a guy at Lexus said he would get me a complete set for $700. So to make a long story short, he ended up not being able to get them and offered me the IS300 anodized rims for $575. I had few options so I took them. Well, I got talked him down to $450!! I have to tell you guys....They look awesome! As my neighbor would say "PIMP." I put on new 235-45-17's, and its unbelievable how nice it rides. :D Well, thats my story. Hope you all enjoyed it.
  7. Thanks....I appreciate the help.
  8. I have a 1990 LS400. I am looking to replace my passenger side fog lamp since it was damaged by a rock on a trip to California. I'd like to avoid paying dealership prices if possible. Can anyone give me advice on where to get a cheap replacement??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I have a 2000 GS300. I wanted to update the tail lights to the 2001 and newer version. They are a bit different. Do they fit exactly the same or not. I like the look of the new lights. Thanks for your input.
  10. Oh yah,....spoilerdepot.com. Buy the cheaper one, it is the exact same material and specs as the oem version.
  11. Go to an autobody repair place. They will run between $75-$115. You shouldnt be paying more than that. I was going to try to install myself, but I didnt want to take the chance of !Removed! it up because you have to drill into the trunk panel. Good luck.
  12. Well, I saw in the forums that to increase bass on my GS300 i should add an amp and a free air sub to replace the stock unit. What about changing the crappy amp thats stock as well? It sits behind the glovebox on the 2000 model. I was told that I could replace that as well and I would get a lot more power. I was also told that putting a free-air sub wouldnt sound as good as I think it would. It would need an enclosure. Any ideas? And can i put a 10" instead of the stock 8" sub? Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks
  13. I have a 2000 GS300 and was loking for a factory spoiler for the rear trunk. I have a freind at lexus and he said he could get it with everything and paint for arounf $425. He told me to look at spoilerdepot.com. He told me they sell the exact same one, painted for $169. He was right. I took it to a body shop for install and it looks and is awesome. The install was $80. It has the led brake light as well. If you decide to order it, order the cheaper one...they have 2 to choose from. The cheaper one is the exact same material and the more expensive one is a different material. What a deal. They sent is painted to factory spec and warranty it as well.... Just thought you might want to know
  14. What are you looking to spend on the new car? My brothers '90 LS400 has 215,000 miles and still runs like a champ. In the past 3 years, he's maybe put in $1500-$2000. That's not bad considering the mileage. I wouldn't recommend buying the 96 or 97. They fetch a tall price, and its the old body style. Just something quick.....I saw a 94 Silver GS300 with the GS400 5 spoke 17" factory rims. The rims that come on the new GS's. I'll tell ya....It looked awesome. I was surprised. I cant say too much about Mazda. Good luck.
  15. Thanks....I finally got them removed and found the cause of the rattle. Thanks again.
  16. Can you recomend a specific tire brand. One with a smooth ride, and quiet. Thanks for the comment.
  17. I have a 1990 LS400 and the keyless enrty doest work. I would like to put a new aftermarket alarm with trunk release and auto up/down windows...and maybe even a remote start. Is this a possibilty and if so, which is a decent alarm to purchase? Thanks for any suggestions.
  18. I have a 1990 LS400 with almost 200,000 miles. The check engine light will not shut off. Even after the Dealer said it was fine. I reset the battery and did a few other things. Anyone have any ideas on why it wont turn off? thanks...
  19. I have a 2000 GS300 with the standard 16" rims. I was looking to upgrade to the oem 17" 5 spoke Lexus rims. I think they come on the 400's. Is there going to be a problem with the ride smoothness or something else. I believe I might have to recalibrate the speedo...correct? I would appreciate any input. Thanks.
  20. 2000 GS300 I have a loose bolt or something inside the trunk cover lid. Its between the metal lid and the fabric cover. Im trying to remove the fabric cover. I cant figure how to remove the plastic grommets that hold the fabric cover to the lid. Most grommets just pop out. But this one looks different. HELP! I AM GOING NUTS!
