I have also found that the text button on the stereo is pretty much useless. On the radio you sometimes get the station i.d. but I have yet to see a song title. When you've used Satellite radio a lot like I have you get spoiled. Song title and artist info are always on display. If you have an "always on" broadband connection to the internet, what could be happening on your computer is that the information is being retrieved from a database on the net. This is how my computer gets CD text info.

I have a scratch in the leatherlike vinyl above the glove compartment. Also some scuffs near the side pockets on the door. Anyone have any tips on how to treat these?

Contrary to others, I'm getting much worse fuel economy during city driving. Maybe it's because of short trips. Maybe just still breaking in. I have noticed the numbers go up since I've learned to drive her differently, but still not breaking 25. The whole concept of city driving fuel performance doesn't seem to be working for me because the engine wants to barge in on my party at 10MPH. I have noticed that at times this speed range can increase to 20ish. Perhaps due to warming up, perhaps battery charge, not sure. If anyone has any suggestions on increasing my city MPG I'd like to hear them. I seem to have adopted a new driving style, that I'm getting used to. I use the gas pedal delicately. It's kind of like petting a pit bull: stroke it lightly and back off as soon as she starts to growl.

I'm all for the new forum. It will also help others easily check out what hybrid users are saying. With the new GS Hybrid coming out, and talk that the whole Lexus line will have hybrid options in a few years, this could be a great reference for others. Perhaps the forum should be called Hybrid Discussions, which would still allow discussion of other issues regarding the RX on the regular RX board, i.e. anything that still applies to all the cars. When the new lines come out with their hybrids they can have subforums withing the Hybrid forum also. Just an idea.

sad.gif I've been driving the 400h for a little over a week, but put about 200 miles on it. I can't seem to get anything over 19.7 mpg average . I've tried adjusting my driving style and this didn't help. I drive mostly in Los Angeles streets - lots of lights and stopsigns, lots of slowdowns. I've had a few clear freeway trips too. Is there any way of checking to know if your particular car's hybrid system is working correctly or "tuned" or whatever? Or perhaps as someone said, the computer may be giving me a lower MPG score then I'll find at the pump. I have reached a charged battery (the bars on the battery symbol turned all green for a short time). Some mitigating factors could be that it's been warm so I have been driving with a little a/c on, but not all the time. I know that it's a little early for me to be getting concerned but I see that others are doing much better with their new cars. BTW I think the idea of creating a "Performance mode" and a "Mileage Mode" is a great idea. Other than the underperforming mileage, I'm loving the Rx 400h! smile.gif
