  1. The CeritifiedPreOwned warranty for my 02 was part of the purchase price: it runs 3yrs bumper to bumper (factory warranty) or up to 100kmi (not likely with me driving less than 7kmi/year). But the dealer offered to EXTEND that for 1 extra year for about 1200-1300$. I declined.
  2. Thanks - that might be overkill. The car is spotless. The seats are perfect, as they should be with a PreOwnedLexusCertified... It's just that the dealer's detailer used about 15gal. of Armor-All and the seats are slippery/slimy. Maybe just some mild soap and water will remove Armor-all.
  3. Let's see... where to begin... sure I would have loved to own/drive an RX300 when I was 21. But they were not made back in them days... I think the range of ages for this vehicle will vary across the board, but more or less depend on COH (cash on hand). BTW - I also test-drove the Acura TL. I thought it was great, and better finished than the Saab95. But I require the capacity of the RX300 for stuffing the bicycles in the back... -Dave
  4. The question remains - what should you use to clean the leather? I recently posted this same question on the RX300 forum: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=19735 Thanks, -Dave
  5. I know this is a lame post for my first post, but here goes: I just got a certified preowned 2002 RX300 (39kmi). The dealer has put so much gooey armor all and stuff on the leather seats and steering wheel I'm sliding out of the saddle when I take a turn. Any advice on a cleaner solution and method to get this slippery slime off my seats, dashboard, and steering wheel? Thanks. -Dave p.s.: your are scaring me with all the posts regarding transmission fluid and transaxle problems... ;-)
