Hey you guys are lucky. I got up to 300 miles per tank on my 01 430 and now im getting about 240 on my 06. I know its a smaller tank but I should lose that much. I noticed that Im getting around 17 MPG with mixed city and highway. This is well below the posted results. I thought the new tranny would help a little more...

I noticed that the models listed are only the GS3's Does this also affect the 430/460?

the error code came back with something to do with the fuel system. the mechanic said it could be anything from a lose cap to something really serious. What in the fuel delivery system can cause this?

It revs high as if i was in 2nd or even 3rd gear. problem is similar to driving stick in 3rd from a stopped position. I am going to try to take it in and get the code. i am hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

If I wanted to add transmission fluid how can I tell if the local Sears product is the same as the OE stuff? THe owners manual that I have doesnt say anything about the fluid and I cant seem to find too much detail on the "generic" type. Money isnt the problem, its finding the time to go to the dealer during their working hours.

I just got a check engine light, but have been having issues with the car starting in the wrong gear. the problems are likely related somehow and all I know is that the oil is good and there is transmission fluid...anyone has thought on the cause or solution?

I made a mistake. the black things dont make the irritating noises, however the white plug does power something else back in that mess that cools the car and is making noises. the noises can be described as something loading that is stuck...i.e. cd changer with a stuck disc... please help

is it normal to have a melted lens? apparently mine melted a hole in the lens

this white plug powers 2 mechanical units on the left an right. the left unit has a green lead and the right unit has the red/black. I noticed that these are making noises like something is stuck. these units actually move then vents i believe...i.e. head/feet or head only...does anyone know what these really do? anyway removing the plug eliminated the irritating noise however the AC is not cold anymore. wtf. help please tomorrow i will plug in the white one and unplug the left/right units and hopefully the AC will become cold again. if this doesnt work does anyone know the cost to replace these thing?

does anyone have a diagram. i am actually looking for the torque specs for the bolts.

Is there a gasket on the 2nd gen GS? the dealership told me that they use a Form in place gasket also known as silicone. http://www.lexus-parts.com/partdetail.asp?...bCategoryID=113 Can this be true? I use silicone to seal my oil pan? I also noticed that people were asking about the upper and lower oil pans...how can I tell which one is leaking and where do i go from there?

ok wtf...yesterday i noticed a really weird noise coming from the stereo area. it doesnt matter if the car is moving or stopped...even if the car is not running it happens when the key is in the on position. this leads me to believ that this is an electrical problem. is there anything back there that will make a weird noise...here's my feeble attempt to describe it. it reminds me on the motor sound when the steering wheel or seat moves or like when you receive a call and the feedback is sent through the stereo out the speakers. problem happens with out the radio on. this is not a faint noise but is as loud as my radio when im driving with my windows up. any suggestions please ...maybe instructions on how to take apart the radio area so i can examine wtf is going on.

since i guess no one has done this yet wish me luck... might take me a while to do this, but i'll report back to and let everyone know what the deal is. I have had my rims 1 1/2 years and my tires are fine thus far, however i know i am out of spec...

my opinion...use the premium. you have an expensive car so spend the extra $2.00 per tank just incase

its daizen...saw them available on a lexus dealer website.

FYI your 4 year warranty probably already started...I believe that it starts when the first service was done on the car. At least thats what my dealer told me...i bought my car used, but the warranty date was a month or 2 before the actual sell date...

Has anyone done a camber adjustment on their 2nd gen. I noticed front and rear adjustment kits available.

i've had this problem for almost 2 years...thought it was warped rotors at first (replaced them with brembo discs) but the problem never went away...i just ignored it. if it is a safety issue i haven't had problems yet. if it is, someone please let us know...

i went with the springs option. it was a lot cheaper. got the lsportline and ltuned setup for about 350. im not sure if the ride quality will be noticeably different between the 2 options...with coilovers you will be happy with the height...

i actually have 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. this was recommended by tirerack. they had cheap tires... about 1k delivered and mounted.

i had a similar problem...was actually a loose cable to the battery. the connection looked good but was loose. i'm not convinced that it would be a fuse because i've never seen a half working fuse...g/l

i don't think you can get away with 40 series. i have 19's with 245/30/19 and 275/25/19. i can't remember the offset, just do a search and you should find that out. i believe it was +38...
