I personally like the Black Bird's Eye Maple with the Silver. The two go together extremely well. Also, the inerior doesn't take away from the the exterior (Mercury Metallic). Just keep in mind that the silver interior is a light silver and will be a challenge to keep clean!

Is there anyone who is up to speed on the 2006 Mark Levinson stereo in the 2006 gs. My wife and I just bought a 2006 gs with the Mark Levinson stereo and the manual does a poor job of defining its capabilities. I really can't call the dealership because the sale people probably know less than me about the different capabilities of the system. Basically I am looking for anyone who help me out with settings and how to set it up i.e. dvd audio, cd etc... Thanks in advance for any help. vb

My wife (and I) just picked up our Mercury Metallic gs430 Saturday. The car is everything you would expect in a Lexus and more. By more I mean, it now handles like a sports car. The steering is quick and responsive. As for the new body style, looks are purely subjective and I happen to really think the 2006 body style is a big improvement over the 2nd generation. We drove a 2001 gs430 for 4 1/2 years. That car gave us a lot of enjoyment but doesn't even come remotely close to our new one. This is just my opinion, and like I stated earlier, looks are subjective. I personally was leaning towards the new M45 Sport but when you compare interiors...........well, there's really no comparison.
