  1. I'd like to spiff up my 98 GS 400 with a new gearshift knob and a new leather console top. I just know that there is some GS sitting in a salvage yard somewhere with like-new ones... but not sure where to go online to find parts like this. Any suggestions?
  2. Have any of you bought the new GS 430 (06). What are your thoughts so far? Any differences from the older GS that jump out at you? Also, what is the difference between sticker and price you paid? Thanks,
  3. Update: key LED does illuminate and I have been holding down the button for well over 3 seconds - still not working all the time. Very strange. Both keys. Jeff
  4. Can't imagine what the problem is. Sometimes it works fine, other times I have to use the key to manually open the trunk. Remote button always works for the doors even from far away. Only works for trunk about one in 4 times. Is there a separate receiver/sensor for the trunk? Unlikely to be key because its a new battery and works fine for the doors. Any ideas? Any idea where I can check to see if there is something interfering with the receiver? Jeff
  5. Has anyone replaced the glove box changer with a new or different unit? My CD changer is out on my GS 400 and I need to replace it. Any pointers or ideas?
  6. :o My CD Changer on my GS400 failed today. Now it does nothing when I press the CD button or when I try to eject the cartridge. It is an in-dash (glove box) 6 disk changer. Stereo is Nakamichi Before this happened, during a long trip, I ejected the cartridge to find it very wet. Seems that water was somehow getting on the CD cartridge. It was a hot day and the AC was running hard. I noticed condensation around the AC vents on the interior of the car. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to manually eject the cartridge? Is it possible that my changer is okay and has only blown a fuse? How hard is it to replace the changer? Thanks for your answers in advance... Jeff
