I have a 2001 RX 300 and it works for me as well. Press the menu button, then choose system option. Then press the top left of the screen, then the bottom left of the screen, then the top left again, then the bottom left again, then finally touch the bottom right of the screen. It will bring up a system menu. Choose the override button, then hit back. If you do this while moving, you won't be able to edit until you stop the first time. If you are stopped when you do this, then you can continue to edit while moving. Now if someone can figure out how to permanently fix this, that would be great.

My 2001 RX 300 makes the same high pitch whine in the mornings when I first start it and then goes away after a while. I have the same question as GoldenStateSilverSport, how much should those belts cost with installation? Thanks in advance.

I have 2001 RX 300 and I mounted my Sirius radio about a year ago. The antenna is on the rear of the roof (right side) and I ran the wire inside the car and tucked it under the molding, as a few others have done. At first I had the radio mounted on the floor console but then decided it wasn't too safe having to keep looking down every time I wanted to see what was on. I bought one of those windshield mounts with the flexi pipe and suction cup and mounted the radio to the little triangular window next to the dash on the drive side. This way, I can just glance down to the left side of the dash board and see what's on. It works great and it's not in the way of the windshield. Hope that helps someone.

Another dumb question from a guy who knows nothing about cars. 1. Are the stock pads, ceramic? 2. If I replace the pads (to fix the dust), do I also need to replace the rotors? and is it easy to replace the pads myself? Thanks.

I was told by my dealer that isn't an option on the 2001 rx's. Is there somewhere that says that it is available? The CBEST sheet doesn't show it as an option for that year.

Before you replaced the brake pads were your front rims always filthy? I changed over to ceramic pads on front and back. This eliminated most of the brake dust issue. Brand name I got was "Satified", bought through JC Whitney at about $60 per set. ←

Hi Everyone, I have a 2001 RX300 and both of my front rims are always almost black from the brake dust. The back rims look fine and other RX300's that I've seen don't seem to get as dirty as mine. I would wash the wheels and rims and within a week, they are black again. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks Scott

Hi, I have a 2001 RX300 AWD with the Navigation and on the Radio there is a button on the lower right of the screen with "AF" on it. I can't find what that button is for anywhere in the manual. Does anyone know what it stands for and what it does? It doesn't seem to do anything when it's pushed and lite up. Thanks Scott

How did you do the door lock thing? Does it work on a 2001 RX300?

Does anyone know how to change the options in the RX such as the lights flashing when you push the remote button, locking the doors automatically when you put the car into drive, unlocking all the doors with 1 push of the button instead of 2? I know you can change these settings but the manuals don't tell you how. Thanks in advance.

How did you get them cut for free? I was told by the dealer that you need to buy a key from them and I was also told from someone else that if you buy a key from ebay, make sure it's the right one. How do you tell? Thanks
