Im looking to add a Navigation System to my Rx300. From searching the existing posts, it costs an arm and leg to replace the on screen display (OSD) Has anybody added an Aftermarket Navigation System to there Lexus? Were did you mount it and how much did it cost? Also what about DVD’s? Can a aftermarket Nav system play DVD’s???

For the most part I think 90% of people click the garage door opener to there visor. So unless your crook owns a lexus or knows about home link I dont think the'll think to use the visor ....

The cop that pulled me over was pretty cool I guess, I mean I was doing 87 in a 65 and he only put 10 over on the ticket. I could have been alot worse but my biddest gripe is I wasent the only one speeding there were 3 or 4 cars going the same speed if not faster and he pulled me over :chairshot:

Its not that im in a hurray I just cant help driving fast. For some odd reason Im alaways driving 85 to 90 mph ...and like you said I've got a cd in and kick back enjoying the ride .....

I dont know if this is the right place to post this but a I got ticket this weekend was driving pretty fast any way I was thinking about getting radar detector Valentine or a escort 8500 x50. My biggest concern is do these things really work ? Has any been saved from getting a ticket by using a radar detector ?

I drive mine pretty hard, rabbit starts and 80 to 90 mhp hwy I get 20.9

Either way wether it be Cosmetic or Mechanical a new used car should not have that many issues. I can understand if it was a late model vehicle but a 04 ??? Those kind of problems you listed generally sound like the previous owner abuse the vehicle

As far as extending the oil change intervals. All most likely stay in the 5000 to 7500 range. I just want the best protection for my investment.

I was surfing the web and came accross the Amsoil web site. They claim there Synthetic Oil is better then the Mobile 1 Synthetic. Anybody got any opinions ? I myself have only heard of Amsoil I've heard many good things about there oil but have never used it. What do you guys and gals think ? I agree, I feel with the technical advances with engines today and the advances in oil refinery that the 3000 mile oil changes are past tence.

Today car manufacturers' recommendations for oil changes range from 5,000 to 7,500, or even 10,000 miles for many cars when operated under "normal" driving conditions—more often if conditions are "severe." Before you relax, let me point out that the way most of us drive is listed as severe by the automotive experts. According to the owner's manuals of many new cars and trucks, normal operation of a vehicle is at least 20 minutes, at a medium speed with a steady throttle, and in a clean environment. That's the answer given by Don Beyer, automotive services director for AAA's Washington/Inland chapter. Beyer, an ASE master technician and former repair-shop owner, says that it is imperative to change the engine oil and filter every three months or 3,000 miles. Can the locks on a rx300 be programmed manually ?

When I attempt to replace mine I remove the 2 clamps but it looks like the MAF or a long hose is connected to one side. Do I have to remove the entire hose thing ...

I own a 01 rx300 its been a GREAT SUV but today the rear view mirrow compass stop working. :cries: All it displays is a " C " ??? :chairshot: Has anyone run into this problem ? Any ideas on how to fix ?

I recently came accross a cold intake for a RX300. I was wondering if anybody tried cold intake for there lexus. And if so if they believed it increase performance ?
