  1. As previously posted, I got CEL and code came out P0420. So i replaced Cat. Converter @ 279,XXX.(Universal) Now i have 284,000 on my car. Again CEL shows up. run code through Autozone : P0420. While CEL on I was driving and light disappear. No more Check Engine Light. What happens? please advise. Thanks in advance..

  6. Hello, No, I am not joking. Last 25 years with so many car i never had brake fluid flush. I did ask my mechanic, he explained, every time you changed brakes you are adding new fresh fluid. Not required. So far i never had trouble with brakes. still original calipers, lines, etc.

  9. Thanks TomwoodLexus, "Electrical system check(includes battery check, alternator output check, starter draw check" Battery was replaced last year. Alternator and starter are original. "fluid exchanges such as coolant, trans fluid, power steering fluid" Coolant, PS fluid I do change every year. trans fluid, every 15,000 miles. "Brake flush" I never do that, My mechanic told me you don't needed to do that. Thanks again.
  10. Hello, I have 281,300 miles on my car. Last time the timing belt and other items decribe as below were replaced at 210,000. Life of TB is 90,000 miles. I will not wait to finish 90,000. within 7-10K miles, I am planning to replace following: 1. TB 2. A/C Belt 3. PS belt 4. Water Pump 5. Cam Seal 6. Crank shaft Seal 7. Spark plug 8. Wire If I missed any items, please add them to the list. Thanks in advance.........

  12. I would also replace following: Power steering belt, Power steering fluid flush A/C Belt Cam seal Crank shaft seal spark plug and wire

  15. Should I have to take intake out to replace that hose by radiator cap? How?
  16. Hello, I have '97 ES300 with 277,900 miles. since it's 10 year old i am planning to change 2 heater hoses and small U shape hoses(Next to heater hoses). but dealer gave one more water bypass hose and it's showing by radiator cap. How to replace that? Thanks,

  18. It's not easy. you can buy just refill (from toyota $50-60) instead of buying complete mount(Just metal)

  23. Hello, I decided to replace brake pads(front and rear). I am going with wagner brand. i am using this brand in my Lexus and it's better stopping then Toyota brand. but i learned, there is two types of rear pads. US vs japan. japan made have big rear pads vs US made has small. WHY? can i replace caliper? Thanks in advance.

  25. Hello, We just replaced our 2001 jetta with '02 camry V6(3.0L). In my lexus the brake pedal works great. For example, if i start to push the brake pedal at a high speed, i have to push it half way and then it will start to push down with less of my effort. in other words you can feel that you're pushing the brakes. But with the 2002 camry's brake pedal, the pedal feels soft. You have to push harder and it also goes further into the floor. Should I look further into the brake pedal for the Camry?
