  1. I am seeing that it is indeed the Greatest Lexus Forum in the Universe!! :D
  2. 1999 RX300 200,000 miles 2 previous owners Deal and Independent Antenna Mast, new Windshield in last month routine maintenance that I know of since 2010 Lock Actuators? Clicking noise from Glove box? Rough ride (sometimes shakes sounds like flat tire and then shakes super bad, I am the only one it has done that to ? shaking eases up as you slow down. If you pull over to side of road and shut car off completely and restart, shaking gone????) Pics to come later
  3. Thank you everyone...The RX300 might not have been my first choice in Lexus Models but like I mentioned I purchased from my Dad so knew it's history somewhat as it did have one previous owner before he purchased it in 2010? I just do not have the funds for a big repairs and from the sounds of it small ones either! So, this will be a good place to start learning DYI's :) :) It's nice to have such a warm welcome!
  4. I just bought my Dads 1999 RX300 and the Front Pass. Door Lock Lever seems to "stick". Okay so I have read all 14 pages of this thread.....and as the user name implies I am just a GIRL! (No offense to other "Girls" here who do understand this) and I am more confused than ever I guess the first question is: How do you know if it is your Actuator or just a "Sticky" door lock? Can I spray WD-40 in where the lock lever is and flip it back and forth first to see if that is the only problem? To give you my background so that you can understand why I ask questions that to may seem "Dumb" I am a Girl who is stepping out on her own for the 1st time and has never had to do anything DYI for myself before. I really want to learn how to be independent but am in a spot where criticism even by complete strangers via "typed" words will make me start to question my ability to ever be independent. So please be patient
  5. Hi Becky, Yea, I was married to a Mechanic before "Striking out on my own" so all this car stuff is new to me But I am pulling up my Big Girl panties and determined to find out how to do things by myself! I think I mentioned that I had replaced the Antenna Mast this Weekend by myself (well I had a friend turn on/off the Radio) and was so proud of myself!!! I drove around and literally stop total Strangers to show it off! LOL :P I appreciate the "Welcome" and will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to upload pictures!!
  6. Hi, I am not really sure on how to do this so please accept my apologies if I am posting, replying or am doing anything wrong. I just purchased my Dad's RX300 1999. While I know he kept it in great condition, there are some questions I have as he is not mechanically inclined AT ALL :) Where on this site would I go to post question? For example: Can I reprogram the key that came with the car? Do I even need to worry about it? Thank you in advance. I just replaced the Antenna Mast this weekend! I am going "Solo" for the first time in my life and am trying to self-reliant and independent. So accomplishing the Antenna Mast was a HUGE step for me :D
  7. Thank you Steve :)
