  1. got to 156 with a 99 gs400 just dropped in the SRT intake and engine mode. I couldnt believe it felt like the car had more just got a little spooked, by the feeling I had wings..... ( Red bull gives you wings and a gs gives you POWER) :D
  2. I droppeed in the Infinity Kappa Perfect 10D VQ sub. I have to say that the sub made a huge difference. All I did was remove the old sub dynamat the back shelf dropin the new sub and was done. The diffference in bass is unbelievable. The Infinity sub is designed for free-air enclosures so it worked prefectly.
  3. I just found a Infinity Sub that is free air. I will have it in in a couple of days, I will update you on the sound quality..
  4. Buy a GS400 B) No really you should look a upgradeing the intake at the least. They range from 150-600 depending on you $ flow.
  5. Thanks I will look for one.... I guess the next question is does anyone have a subwoofer for this vehicle that was taken out to be replaced by a aftermarket one. And is there a aftermarket sub that fits in, in place of the OEM smoothly???
  6. you would think so but would a subwoofer cut the whole system out like that???
  7. I have a 1999 GS400 with the Nakamichi system and when I turn up the bass the system cuts out everytime the bass hits. If I turn the bass off I can listen to my music as loud as I want and it wont cut out. So in the process of troubleshooting I unplugged the amp from the subwoofer and I can pump the base up with no problem. So the next logical step I thought would be BAD AMP. But to my surprise this was not the case I got a amp off line and it had the same problem. Does any one have any idea what my issue may be. Either headunit, subwoofer or the everdreadfull bad wireing!!!!!!! please help
  8. I just posted a thread and actually left this part out :( sorry I replaced my rotors and pads all around because I was haveing Bad shaking while braking also, but after putting on my new Brembo drilled and slotted :D rotors and pads I still had the 60 mph shaking
  9. Good news for everyone!!! First a little bit of history. (( I bought my lexus GS400 with factory chrome rims that were chipping, so of course I replaced them with some hot new 17 inch rims. To my dismay about 500 miles later ( which was 2 days after I got the car) the steering wheel started shaking. So of course I took it to the nearest shop to have it looked at. They told me that the tires were out of balance and that the "rebalanced" them and I was all set. Well the same thing happened once again, after another trip to the repair shop I was told the same thing again. So with reason on my side I took my GS to my machanic which told me that I had a tire that was out of round. So what do I do..... replace my tires of course..... I get my new tires put on the car and after a little while I notice the same frigging thing is happening again... right around 60 the wheel shakes.)) Well I am sure all of that sounds very familiar to you if you are reading this tread... What i have found is, that if I keep my tire pressure all around right at 40-43 that the shacking is gone.. yeah this does mean that you have to check your tire pressure regularly but it does pay off. I have not seen the shaking in about 2 weeks now the longest I have gone since I bought the car a year ago.
  10. My GS is doing the same thing also. I have replaced rims, then tires, re-tightened the luggs, checked airpressure and replaced brakes, still comes back in a day or two.
