  1. I too have a Motorola V3 and had to upload numbers one at a time to my RX330. Very frustrating. I called Motorola about not being able to to a mass transfer and they claimed it was the car. Took a long time transferring them.
  2. Voice command with the phone? Hmm.. I don't remember that working. The voice command in general sucks anyway (limited features). Since my bluetooth v710 doesn't work very well anyway, I couldn't use it even if I wanted to. But, for example, I'm pretty sure you can't call out via voice...like dial a number. But I could be wrong. Most of the features are just by using the touch screen, and when you're driving it's even more limited... ie, you can't dial a number while driving. You have to use a phone book entry to call out. I'm also making an assumption you are talking about using the Lexus voice features.. not the phone's own voice features. I have no idea how that would integrate since I've never tried that. ← You're right, you can only use the voice commands embedded in the Lexus. You can not create more commands such as recording a voice then use it to make a call. You can make a call by speaking into the phone. If bluetooth is on and active the conversation will be hands free after the initiation of the call. Works with my Motorola Razr V3.
  3. Ok, I went out and gave it a try, twice. Never saw a Japanese screen. Must have done something wrong. Three times it says in your instructions to "Turn off the light". At each step, the way I did it, the switch was already off. If it means insure light is off, then I guess I did it right. If the light was to have been on at that point then I did it wrong but it did say on and off 3 times which would leave it in the off position. Sorry I could not help.
  4. I can read Japanese but before I go messing with it, do you think there's any chance this procedure could change the default screen to Japanese? Does it return to normal when you turn the Nav off and back on?
  5. My Motorola Razr V3 phone works fine with my 2005 RX but could not get my phonebook to download either. Had to load all 103 of them from the phone one at a time. I thought the problem was due to the fact I did not know how to highlight all phonebook entries at one time. The phone manual says to highlight the entry you want to transmit. Since I only knew how to highlight one at a time that's all it would send. I sent Motorola an email asking them how to highlight all entries in the phonebook but, of course, never heard back. I'm new at this bluetooth stuff but still feel it's a limitation of the phone rather than the car receiver.
  6. I'm wondering why they sold you that version. My 2005 has version 4. Wouldn't that have worked in your model year and had more changes included? By the way, love your sidestep pipes. Are they chrome or stainless steel? Could you share some info on them like brand and where you bought.? The local truck accessory place has none that are custom made for the Lexus 330.
