  1. I don't think that is something just anyone can do, I would try to find a used cluster.
  2. The front tires on these cars wear pretty quick and usually feather the inner edges causing road noise that is very similar to the sound of a damaged/worn wheel bearing. Sometimes replacing the tire may be necessary to ensure that the noise is not from worn tires. The bearing/hubs used on the IS do not always have visible slack or excess movement when inspected after curb/impact damage, this noise gets worse over time (sometimes thousands of miles)while it slowly self destructs. Happened to me once after getting carried away in a parking lot, put 15k on it before the bearing got really loud and it was very obvious that the wheel bearing was the cause. I don't know what is wrong with your brakes, sounds unusual to warp them that often. I get the typical pad click when backing then going forward or the other way around, but I have not warped the rotors yet (36K now).
  3. If only everyone was the same size and liked everything in the same position. This is commonly a problem for drivers that are sized at one extreme or the other( really short or really tall). I have heard that you want the steering wheel (airbag) as far away from your face as possible as long as you can just touch your wrist to the top of the steering wheel. I think Mr.Joe's response should work best in those situations.
  4. The outside temperature display has a built in delay type feature that acts like a dampener for all the quick changes in air temperature that occur while driving at highway speeds. Anyone who has ever been on a motorcyle can attest to this phenomenon. There is likely nothing wrong with your car, just designed to give a smooth readout instead of a temperature reading that changes every few seconds.
  5. The SOS feature can be useful at times, however the glasses holder was very convenient and I used it all the time. I think they had to do something to provide a safety communication service to compete with On-star and the like. I had my dealer do the nitrogen fill in my tires, helps maintain a more consistent pressure with temperature changes and it slows the natural pressure loss over time. Keeping the tire pressure correct and vehicle weight (cargo unloaded)down is about all you can do to improve mileage. Oh, and if at all possible don't use fuel that contains any alchohol/ethanol.
  6. Have you programmed your memory settings with the buttons on the driver door panel. It's easy, just set the mirrors, seat position, climate control settings, steering wheel position to where you like them and press and hold SET and 1,2,or 3 depending on what driver and you will hear a beep confirming that the settings are saved. Hope that helps.
  7. A key fob that is already programmed to another vehicle can be reprogrammed by your dealer, however there is usually an additional labor charge for this type of programming as it requires a reseed procedure and programming of all vehicle keys. The reseed is what is done in the event that all vehicle keys are lost. This can only be performed by your dealer after verifying ownership. North America is the only region this service is even available, the rest of the world has to buy an engine computer, and the keys if they are lost.
