  1. Does anyone know if Lexus has come out with a rear view mirror that has been adapted so there is no blindspot?
  2. I only drive on paved roads but yet I have numerous paint chips on the hood front of my 2010 Lexus with approximately 30,000 KM. I had a special protective applied when I bought the vehicle at a cost of some $700. My dealer says this is normal but I disagree. I also own a 12 year old Honda with over 100,000 KM which has less paint damage than my Lexus. I believe the paint used by Toyota/Lexus is of inferior quality. Has anyone else had the same problem?
  3. My mirrors no longer reflect downwards when my RX350 is placed in reverse. Is there a switch to turn this feature ON or OFF?
  4. I own a 2010 Lexus RX350 with approx 20,000KM and have similar valve lifters' noise problem when the engine cold. I have been driving for about 55 years now and this problem was very prevelant in motors some 25 years ago but I mistakenly thought technology had overcome it. Over the past several years I have owned cheaper vehicles (mainly Honda) and never encountered such engine noise. I agree Lexus must do more than pay lip service to resolving this issue. I would like to see a ground swell of complaints on this matter, which is most annoying especially for those of us living in cooler climes.
  5. Have you programmed your memory settings with the buttons on the driver door panel. It's easy, just set the mirrors, seat position, climate control settings, steering wheel position to where you like them and press and hold SET and 1,2,or 3 depending on what driver and you will hear a beep confirming that the settings are saved. Hope that helps. If I do as you suggest will the temperature control always revert back to the original setting even if it is changed while driving in the interim, or should it stay at the last set temperature? No. Programing your seating, mirror, preferances, etc, has no connection with the climate control. You are correct in that the temperature you set for either the driver or passenger should remain the same until such time as YOU change it to something else. If you have navigation with voice command features, you know that you can lower or raise the temperature by activating the voice command button and saying "Raise/Lower temperature". As to what is causing your current problem, it is hard to say. However, you say you have owned the car for one year. Does that mean it is still under warranty? This is not the type of problem that can be diagnosed with a wrench and screwdriver. The computer that runs the whole climate control system is best left to your dealer. If not under warranty and your concerned about cost, simply call your dealers service adviser, explain your problem and ask them for a guesstimate. Paul Yes it is still under warranty and I will take the matter up with my dealer. Thanks for your input.

  7. My Lexus RX350 has the same engine noise issues after starting in colder weather, i.e. 30 to 35 degrees. I am sure it is the valve lifters, which used to be a common problem in older engines. The noise goes away when the engine warms-up. My service department claim they have never heard of this problem before. I have not persued the issue further but will follow the replies to your inquiry withn interest.

  9. I have owned my Lexus RX 350 for approximately one year now and am generaly please with it. However, I am having problems with the temperature control in that it will not maintain it's setting after turning the ignition off. The control goes back to the previous setting the next time the car is started. It only does this once and then holds until next time the tempertaure is adjusted. Anyone else having this problem?
