  1. "Bottom line is there really is no "fix" as to what you can do to get rid of the hesitation." No Fix!!!
  2. I think you failed to read my above post!! This hesitation problem in this model car has NEVER been rectified by the Lexus Corp, even with constant reflashing of the tranny's computer! These updates were always a complete failure, so your advice is like beating a dead horse. Here are some members posts back in May, 2003 Read them and weep: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/3584-02-06-transmission-hesitation-problems/
  3. I purchased a brand new 2003 ES300, and from the day I picked it up from my Lexus dealer I knew that there was a hesitation problem! After countless times the dealer tried to reprogram the computer, but in every instance these updates didn't work to eliminate the problem. I finally traded in this car that had under 20,000 miles for a 2007 ES350 and the transmission in this car did not have any problems. So, I'm sorry to tell you that I can't give you a positive answer. If you go back to 2004 forum responses that I posted in, you'll see how frustrated that I, as well as other members could never had positive results. Here's a link to one of these pages: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/10805-would-you-buy-your-es330-again/page-2?hl=%2B2003+%2Bes300+%2Btransmission#entry67097 You could also look in Clublexus.com for further info. Good luck. :whistles:
  4. I always try to keep up whats been happening in the Lexus world, even though I haven't been as active as I used to be. Maybe it's because I'm getting too old.
  5. Lexus USA has announced a planned voluntary safety recall of approximately 10,500 model year 2013 GS 350 sedans due to an potential issue in the brake pedal assembly: The brake pedal assembly in the subject vehicles contains a brake pedal load sensing switch which allows the brake system to detect brake pedal force application by the driver. Due to a manufacturing error, there is a possibility that the switch could improperly cause the brake system to activate without driver input while driving and without activating the rear brake lights. This could result in unexpected moderate deceleration. Affected owners will be notified by mail, and the brake pedal support assembly will be replaced free of charge.
  6. I was very disturbed after reading this article: http://lexusenthusiast.com/2014/03/24/japanese-lexus-dealership-builds-exclusive-ls-owners-lounge/ This means that if you don't own an LS Model you're NOT invited. Very snobbish indeed! :whistles:
  7. Lexus has announced the 2014 model year GS 350, which will now be equipped with the same eight-speed transmission seen on the IS F & new IS F SPORT. Other improvements have been made to the USA edition of the 2014 GS model: Flush mounted sensors for available Intuitive Park Assist Full color display added to optional Heads-Up Display Available Blind Spot Monitor adds Rear Cross Traffic Alert and power-folding mirrors Luxury Package changes: LED foglamps, Superchrome finish for 18-inch wheels, and the rear armrest control panel display adds display option to view radio station and song title information. Optional power trunk opener Night View system discontinued iPhone SIRI Eyes-Free system from Apple, which lets you call contacts, select and play music from iTunes, and use Apple Maps turn-by-turn navigation.
  8. After many years of free help to fellow Toyota and Lexus owners and enthusiasts, the Workshop Manuals have been removed from the site upon request from Toyota Motor Corporation
  9. No more LFA......this is the one I want!!
  10. Hi Steve- Your GS is one beautiful car! I was contemplating trading in my old '07 ES350 for the new GS350, but in reality I couldn't justify the trade, since my car has less than 17K miles on the odometer. I hardly use it since as a retired geezer, I fly between Scottsdale, AZ, Miami Beach, FL, and Minnetonka MN. There I have the use of a new Range Rover, a Bentley Continental Convertible, or a Range Rover Evoque. When I'm at home in NYC I mainly use my wife's "powerful" Toyota Corolla to zoom around in........and it's easy to park. LOL :) If anybody deserves a great car, it's you. Best of luck. Alan

  14. That's for sure.... except if repainting is necessary, then I'd worry about the color match. Heehee
  15. I don't know whether you remember, when I was parked in a mall parking parking lot, and when I came back from shopping I saw that somebody hit my front. It required replacement of the front bumper, hood, lights, left front fender, plus a few more things. The repair was done by my Lexus dealer, and the results were absolutely perfect in every respect. The repair cost was $5000.00......paid by my insurance company. Another thing, at the time this happened, my car was only 3 months old!!!
