Hey guys.. I have the same high RPM thing going on with my LS too, right when I start it up its pretty high, i guess to warm up the parts. and another thing I noticed is sometimes when I have it on DRIVE without my foot being on the pedal, it goes pretty fast,( around 15-18 KM/H) just like TODD said, but other times, it doesnt go as fast, maybe because of the oxygen levels? i did an experiment and after I left it outside for a couple hours it did 15-18km/h, but if it was in the garage or on hot, humid days it wouldnt go as fast... this doesnt bother me nor it is a problem i just like to EVERYTHING about my car.. :P :P B) hehe

Hey TODD... I have the same car that you do, and yes both our cars do use the old school systems. What a coincidence though, I just went today to change my AC to the newer environmentally friendly one... they charged me $78 bucks (CANADIAN) to retrofit it.. but thats not all.. they said I have a leak somewhere and so on... basically im looking at a hefty price tag to get cold air blowing again.. By the way, I saw your car and I love the exterior! its looks greatt!

by '6000k HID system' does it mean just the 9004 HID BULB? or any other changes in the headlight? also are there any after market CLEAR front headlights available for our cars?

I had the same experience, at first I didnt notice that the front left speaker wasn't working... I'm going to get it looked at from the guy that will be installing my new CD changer.. hopefully everything will work out

I just recently bought a set of 2 keys with just door lock/unlock button from the dealer for $600.00 CANADIAN.. which is near $380 USD including tax.. Im disappointed that there isnt trunk release also

I got my 90' LS 400 at 153K miles and it looks amazing concerning its age! I am not concerned about the engine at this time.. however all the smaller things like the 'black faded A/C and TIME display' ... and the entire A/C (gotta get it replaced)... Im sure it will last me well over 200K, judging from how it runs right now.

Hey Todd, Nope I havent bottomed out over a curb.. and the car itself is in very very good shape for a 1990 model, so I dont think the previous owner drived it hard enough too loosen the shield. I think the corrosion from snow, salt, sand, etc. caused it.. I live in Canada where the winters are really horrible.. but thanks for your feedback and HAMMO.. thanks AGAIN for your very helpful ideas!! I really appreciate it!

HEY guys, I was wondering what to do about the plastic cover underneith the engine.. most of the screws fell off so its "saging" it gives a really cheap look for a LS 400.. i really want to fix it real fast. Can anyone help me out? THANKS IN ADVANCE! REGARDS! :(

:whistles: HEY GUYS I HAVE A 90' LS 400 and IM NEW TO THIS FORUM. IVE READ ALL OF THE LS400 POSTINGS AND THIS IS AN AMAZING SITE. I DO HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS OF MY OWN, 1. The "A/C", "OFF" , "Front DEFROST", "REAR Defrost" "the right powered heated seat" BUTTONS have no LIGHTS behind them, I was wondering how much would the dealer install new ones for? ( NOT TO MENTION MY CLOCK AND TEMPERATURE LCD DISPLAY IS BLACK! I HAVE TO REPLACE THAT) 2. Also, my front left speaker doesnt work. its not the balance, F/R settings, it just wont work, how can I get it to work, I also plan on installing a CD player because my 90' has the premium NAKAMICHI system with NO CD PLAYER?!?!? how can I do that? I dont think any of the 3rd party cd players will fit in the housing? 4. MY LAST question is WHERE IN THE WORLD can I find some accessories ! I cant find any 15 inch Chrome rims for my baby anywhere, also the clear side markers/front signal covers I cant find those any where also. SORRY GUYS I KNOW THATS ALOT OF ANNOYING QUESTIONS BUT IM ONLY 16 AND A NEW LEXUS ENTHUSIAST !! Im glad I found a site like this. Props to the creators!
