Max3732
The radio on my 2005 LS 430 stopped working and the dealer said trying to get a new one ordered and installed would be extremely expensive and I'm better off using a 3rd party one. How can I tell what radios will fit? I was looking at an electronics store that has free installation and it seems like all the ones I tried online say they won't fit my vehicle. Does anyone have specifications for the radio? Any suggestions on what to get? I'd prefer to have a volume knob and also don't want to get the rid of the AC vents. Also as a secondary issue as long as I'm replacing the radio I was thinking of replacing the screen with one that can pair to smartphone so I could use my phone maps and audiobooks. Any specifications or suggestions for that? Edited August 29, 2022 by Max3732
RX400h
Have you checked out Crutchfield.com? They are experts at car audio replacements.

Just checked and when I put a 2005 Lexus LS 430 with factory navigation it says they don't recommend changing the radio in my vehicle. There are videos on youtube of people doing it though. RX400h
Perhaps it'd be worthwhile to give them a call to see if the only reason they state that is because of one or more features wouldn't work. It wouldn't hurt to call.
JustSomeRandomGuy
I've had good luck buying a replacement Amp for my Mark Levinson on yahoo.jp and it was only about $180 shipped to the states. Might try there for a good factory replacement if all else fails..
