Edrego Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 I've got a 2019 UX250H and I'm noticing a very loud "clacking" sound coming from somewhere in the underbody, typically when I start accelerating from a standstill. It usually makes 2 clacking sounds in pretty quick succession, kind of like banging a hockey stick on the ice/concrete in an empty arena. I haven't brought the car in yet. Any ideas? Thanks.
RX400h Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 It could be that you ran over something that is wedged underneath. If you have vehicle ramps, you can drive up and check underneath. Apply the emergency brake before you crawl underneath. I also use wheel chocks behind the rear tires when I change the oil in any of our vehicles.
Edrego Posted May 19, 2022 Author Posted May 19, 2022 I'm feeling like it's an issue connected to the transmission or brakes, but I'll take a look for something underneath. Thanks for the suggestion.
