2004 LS430 Levinson Stereo - CD Player issue

My apologies - posted this originally in the wrong forum.

 

Levinson stereo performs as expected playing the radio or music through a bluetooth adapter that plays through the FM radio.  However, CDs are playing only in the right channel - left channel appears to be dead.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Today I checked fuses, found a cassette tape to test the cassette player, and disconnected the negative battery cable for 3 minutes. No luck.  Radio and cassette player work normally, only the CD player is playing through only one channel. 
 

Before I start pulling things apart To check connections I thought I would ask the group if there is anything I might be missing. 
 

By the way, this is an Ultra Luxury with NAV system.
