Unlocking Car

I have a 2006 Lexus IS250. I remember I would walk up to my car and touch the handle and it would automatically unlock and open. Now it doesn’t open and I have to use the key fob. (which i hate) I really need help on this one!! (btw I did put new batteries)

If you read these posts, you'll see that the fob battery is typically the problem. Are you sure the key fob battery is good? There should be a resetting sequence in your owner's manual. Have you tried that?

I have the owners manual, I just can’t locate the resetting sequence.

This procedure may apply, or maybe it's for newer Lexus vehicles, only.
