John Hanlin
Filler lid opens fine from inside, but won't close without pulling the emergency strap inside the hatch. Any suggestions? John

RX400h
I know this is a different model but perhaps the solution with work with your vehicle with the correct part number.
John Hanlin
Thanks for the reply. I had this problem with my 2004 RX, but the opening spring is fine on my 2007 RX. It is the latching pin staying out and interfering with the closing latch.. Each time I get gas I have to open the hatch and pull the "emergency" opening strap while I push the filler door closed. Good thing the filler door and inside release are on the same side so that I can reach them at the same time. Annoying but fixable if I take the inside panel off. Didn't know if there was an easier solution.
RX400h
The only other thing I could find was someone who had to replace the fuel door actuator motor because it wouldn't pull the pin back all the way.
