merc Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Got my inspection failed on a 2010 ES 350 because of bad dog bone motor mount. got the parts thinking it should be easy to replace. There are only two screws holding it BUT there is abs pump line right where the screw needs to come out. Has anybody replaced this. Please let me know. Wasn't sure if I can remove one of the abs pump lines and how much oil will come out of it and will that end up having to bleed the brakes.
Lexus Owners Club Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 You should be able to move it enough to clear the bolt if you remove the pump just enough as there should be a small amount of flex in the brake lines (obviously not enough movement to damage them though)
merc Posted March 23, 2021 Author Posted March 23, 2021 I couldn't get any wriggle room. I ended up removing the bracket that holds the mount, there are 4 screws (one on the bottom right of the pic). After removing that was able to replace the mount 1
Lexus Owners Club Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Thanks for the feedback, always nice to know the way round these problems
