Piranha Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 on i took apart my center console (shifter and stuff) on my 1995 to change the bulb underneath. bad stuf happened, the 2 screws that hold the shifter knob down (2 about midway up) fell into the abyss of wires, i cant shift right, wont let me get my keys out of ignition, HELP. what size are these screws?
SKperformance Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 hold the knob down? Do you mean the 2 bolts that are covered by a plastic shroud on the actual shifter handle and face the stereo ? just pull the knob up and press the button down till you find it to get the keys out.
Piranha Posted May 10, 2004 Author Posted May 10, 2004 yeah those are what im talkin bout. i did that, but i need replacement screws what size are they? or can the dealer get replacements?
SKperformance Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 ypu the dealer can get them or might have them. If you atleast had one you could get a nut and bolt store to replace them. I found one store that carrys everything they even had a tiny bolt that i needed for a perch on my coilovers and on top of that they had a choice bettween regualr steel and stainless to keep them from rusting. The guy even gave them to me for free as samples as they cost just pennies.
