I have 08 ls460 l and want to see if I can swap grill to the newer hour glass shaped grill?

Not unless your willing to spend a lot of money to modify the entire front end.

Even if you could swap out the grill (you can't), why would you want to?  Just to make it look "newer"?  The spindle grill is hideous and is one of the several reasons I will never buy another LS.
