Bill Gius Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Found this bit of the door handle trim laying on the ground next to my '07 ES350 the other day. It doesn't just snap back on and stay in place. I press it in place and can easily remove it with out much effort. Is there a trick to re-installing them so they stick? Thanks.
rjt65 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Shoukd be ok snap it back on. These are made to come off, see the hidden keyhole there in case fob is faulty
Bill Gius Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 Good to know about the key hole. I'll tap on it harder to try to secure it better too. 1
rjt65 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 See the lik block on piece? Irt should slide into the slot next to keyhole than it will be tight
Emg Posted July 31 Posted July 31 I have a 2008 lexus es350 l bought from my sister she says it has remote start but j cant get it to work
DSES350 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I did two steps to secure this thing. 1) used a thin plastic string and tied it to the trim and the door handle 2) added silicon glue to the edges of the trim before securing it. This piece is prone to dropping off, have ordered twice from ebay, the second time I made sure I used the above steps to secure it for good and has worked well. it did drop off even after doing the above, but I did not lose the trim piece as the hidden plastic thread held it hanging. silcon glued it again and should be good for a few more years with out losing the trim.
