Hi all,

This is the time of year when we Brits tend to take off in our cars and head for the empty, twisty and completely awesome driving roads of Europe.

Has anyone else got any road trips planned for this year...coast to coast, mountains, etc ? ....or is it just me then?

Cheers,   Trevor

.....maybe there aren't any great driving roads in the US then?

Prove me wrong and let us know about them, what about Route 66, is there much of it left to drive?

Oh look at that road!!!!   I could sit on that wall and watch forever.

There is a place here called Tail of the Dragon.   A lot of clubs have runs there but I've never been there.   There is also the Blue Ridge parkway but that is more scenic than a fun drive.    My favorite is some of the side roads around here in the fall when the leaves are changing and swirling on the road.    Just beautiful.

Looks like a great road Becki...looking through the photos of the Tail of the Dragon there does seem to be a lot of bike accidents :-(

it would certainly scrub the tyres and wear them out in no time on those roads Steve
