1994 LS400, Engine Codes; 25,28, 48....

urgh. brought the car into a mechanic, did 7 hrs of labor and couldnt find anything specifically. thankfully he's only charging 75$ for his time.

I have a feeling its mostly the oxygen sensor, (rear ) likely. Smog check is due next month, not sure what to do.

he thought the ECM i bought last year was for the later half of the production model year, but i bought my car in June. Not sure if that'll make a difference.

he didn't think engine code 48 i think it was was associated with our model.

 

Any Suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Made an appointment with a  lexus dealership since that's what he rec. but really unsure.

That year can have the ecu capacitor issues, the 48 is sub throttle position sensor for trac, he must have scan tooled it.  And yeah if O2 sensors have not been replaced do that. And before taking to the Lexus dealer.
