Thank you in advance!!
IanH Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 A quick look as FSM says you should do this next 5. INSPECT CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (a) Disconnect the sensor connector. (b) Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals. Resistance: Cold 835 - 1,400 W Hot 1,060 - 1,645 W If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor. © Reconnect the camshaft position sensor connector. 6. INSPECT CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (a) Disconnect the sensor connector. (b) Remove the bolt holding the connector bracket to the water pump. © Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals. Resistance: Cold 1,630 - 2,740 W Hot 2,065 - 3,225 W If the resistance is not as specified, replace the sensor. (d) Reinstall the bolt holding the connector bracket to the water pump. edited to try and get back readable format. (e) Reconnect the sensor connector.
IanH Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Also check the water temp sensor. Are you saying that if you clear the codes with a code reader its fine unit it gets hot then codes reappear ?
Jsweets Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 When I clear code then start the car, the CEL comes on immediately (cold or hot) but when the car is started from cold it will run fine (even with CEL on) until it warms up I will get my meter out and check those sensors tomorrow, :) hopefully i just need to replace one, clear codes, and be on my merry way
IanH Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 So it could be the water temp sensor. download the FSM it will help you a lot. Look on forums for link Good luck.
Jsweets Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 ok after pulling off several sensors checking them putting them back on, the sensors checked fine all in good standing. After putting them back on a miracle code popped up, its a P0011 Intake camshaft position timing Over-Advanced (bank 1) I tried looking this up but all I can find is information all the Crank position sensor. Are these the same thing? Can someone point me in the right direction? Also downloading a FSM isnt as easy as you mention it as the link on this forum is dead, along with (myis) and clublexus (404 not found) but with that being said I may just be literally computer compliant lol
IanH Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ok. send me your email via PM and I will send you a link to my copy. will look up code and reply.
IanH Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Looks like you need DI-53 on as well as FSM does your code reader have freeze frame ?
Jsweets Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 if the code reader had freeze frame Im unaware of it also Im not sure what you mean by DI-53
