i0C Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Do people use only Toyota/Lexus when replacing their engine and cabin air fitter; or will any air filter work? Thanks
JackMR Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I installed a K&N lifetime air filter as I used this brand with success on my previous vehicles. It provides better breathing for the engine and does not invalidate Lexus warranty. All maintenance needed is cleaning and re-oiling the filter element every 50,000 miles. As for cabin filter, there is quite a few of after-market brands that are cheaper and perform just as well as OEM.
gwgang Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I discovered Denso brand cabin filter at Rockauto.com The filter material looks exact like the OEM one, except the foam strip around the filter is a different color. It's a more "breathable" filter compare to other cheaper filters I had tried. It's electrostatic filter material.
