ChrisC
Hey Guys, I've been lurking around the board for a couple of months picking up some really good information. Time to put some $$$ into my 90LS400 with 135K miles. My wife still loves the car and will only part with it if I get her an '04 LS. So, I'm spending the $$$. :D 1) timing belt 2) LCD out (possibly Mikado) 3) replace air suspension (Strutmasters) I plan to do the timing belt myself and wanted a good source for OEM parts. "newlexusparts.com" apparently no longer works. Can someone recommend a good OEM source? I plan to purchase the following: 1 timing belt tensioner 1 right timing belt pulley 1 left timing belt pulley 1 timing belt 1 aux belt 2 crankshaft seals 1 camshaft seal 1 water pump

ChrisC
Thanks 99, I'll check out lexus-parts.com. The 04 is nice, but I'll have to replace the 4x4 first. I figure if I put $2K in the car I might be good for another 60K mls. If others have any additional sources for OEM parts I'd welcome the input. blake918
I figure if I put $2K in the car I might be good for another 60K mls. Another 60k? I'm at 226k(95), and mechanically the car is in tip top shape! I plan on atleast 400k out of this car! My car needs its second timing belt soon, so I'm going to order from newlexusparts.com. I just tried their website; it is fine for me. Try this link to newlexusparts: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...990&catalogid=1 . Let me know how bad the timing belt service is; I can't decide if I want to do it myself or not. Hope this helps!
VMF
why 2k? engine rehaul parts are around 500$ only how much is the air suspension? why dont u convert to regular suspension?
ChrisC
VMF Timing belt: $500-$600 Strutmaster: $750 New tires: $200 (haven't priced them yet) LCD: $250 (mikata) Should probably change dist cap and wires Adds up pretty quickly. I took it to the Lexus "stealer" for a full checkup and they told me it needed $10K...$4K suspension....$1350 service...etc. Basically $5K in parts and $5K in labor. Then they got p*ssed when I told them thanks, but no thanks. Most of what they said didn't make sense. blake918-....226K???? that's pretty impressive. I tried your link and it works!
