It also rattles when im idling at a stop light. it doesnt do it in park, only in gear. It sounds like it is coming from my right rear wheel,. Any suggestions? 1990LS400 Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 The first thing I would check is the exhaust system since your muffler is at the right rear. How vibrations are transmitted through a vehicle can change between when the transmission is in Drive vs. Park/Neutral. I took I to Midas Muffler and told them and they checked it out and said it was something loose. Something about a towing brace or something that was loose and rubbing against the muffler.
