spartadog
Hi, Just got a '13 RX350, and am enjoying the car tremendiously. One thing, have noticed that the seats seem to be rather hard and flat. Wifey says that she sat in another one where the seats were much more comfortable. Are there different seat options for the car? Thanks! pj8708
Hi Mitch, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. We have a 2013 RX350 and a 2013 ES350. There is a distinct difference in the padding/forming of the seats. The seat bottom is very stiff in the RX, and the seat back seems to be stiffer and rear leaning which can be corrected mostly with power seat adjustments. The other obvious feature that makes the ride less comfortable is the stiffer suspension which is not good for riding but excellent traction from the all-wheel drive. On a long trip, I easily adjust to the stiffer ride and become as comfortable our ES350. Using a cushion is helpful, but it covers the little pin-holes in the leather upholstery and blocks the seat heating and cooling function. My best suggestion is to lock in the perfect seating position for each of you,, and save those settings which comfort you the most.
