Replacing Cabin Filter

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a new cabin filter to install in my car. The old filter had an arrow on it that said "UP" and that's the way it was installed. My new filter has an arrow on it and it says "AIR FLOW" . Should the arrow be pointing up or down, in other words, which way does the air flow go?

Thanks you

Hi Ellen,

The filter sounds like it's labeled just like your air filter in your home furnance. The arrow on your old filter points to the direction of the "air flow". So install your new filter with the "air flow" marker going in the direction of the old arrow.

If thats not clear, come back and will give it another try.
