swoo1968 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 To clarify both interior lights NOT the personal lights. This is the second time this has occurred in two weeks. My car has approximately ~10K miles on it. Has anyone else experienced this same problem and if so, what was the resolution?
bartkat Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Not sure what you mean by personal lights. The dome light in the middle has switches for "on" "off" and "door".
swoo1968 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 I was using the nomenclature used in the Owner's Manual. It is the dome light.
tex2670 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 1. Switch is set to "ON" instead of "DOOR". 2. Dome light stays on for a minute after you close the door. 3. It is possible that some small dent formed on the inside of the door where it strikes the button to turn off the dome light, so that the button does not get pressed down far enough when you close the door. I had this happen when a seatbelt got caught in the door when it was closed. If this is the case, some type of adhesive (I used one of those adhesive foam pads you would stick under a chair leg) right in that spot will press down the button enough. If it's not one of those 3, I don't know.
