oxfordlexusman
In changing out my '01 ES300's thermostat, I've run into a problem......... How do you make sure the replacement thermostat unit fits in the center of the housing? There doesn't seem to be any guides or machine areas that centers the thermostat in the horizonal housing of the engine. I just very loosley sits in the housing and can "fall" to the lower side. Am I missing a part or gasket or something ?!?!?!
lenore
First where did you buy the thermostat, just wanted to warn you that the original equipment one has a jingle valve in it. A lot of aftermarket do not. This allows burping of air thru the system.

HINT: The jiggle valve may be set within 15° of either side of the stud. I am pretty sure it would be the same with your as well.
