Replacing Boots On Cv Joints

How difficult it is to replace boots on all CV joints? The boots cost is very minimal but they want about $1100 to replace boots on all four axles. Is it a DIY job? I have 99 RX300.

I just changed the axle on my 2004 GX470. It cost me $220. It is better to change the axle assembly with both CV booths because just to change the booth is only $40 cheaper and that is what most mechanics recommend. $1100 is way too much.

yup totally agree, the axle shafts with new boots in under $100 apiece, just a matter of labor.....
