Sc430 Failed Inspection, Insufficient Obd Info?

We own a 2003 SC430 with low miles that doesn't get driven in these snowy NE winters. I replaced the battery last year when it wouldn't hold a charge when it sat to long and it passed MA inspection fine. This year I would periodically put the battery on a trickle charger to keep it from draining. We've had no

check engine lights come on and it's been had 4 months of driving since winter. The battery did drain

pretty low at one point this winter before I trickle charged it. Went to get it inspected the other day

and it failed because there was insufficient OBD info to read or couldn't be read??? There weren't any

OBD codes and their machine I believe did link to the obd. The inspection guy said we probably changed the battery recently and it hadn't been driven enough?? Shortly after we left the shop, the

VSC lights came on! I read about the reset for them to zero calibrate them, but what about the

insufficient obd info?? I tried disconnecting the battery leads for an hour and reconnecting. The VSC lights came back on after putting in drive. My obd II meter links to the OBD, but I get no codes.

Will the VSC reset work, and any help on the OBD emissions fail would be apprechiated..
