Auto Trans Slipped And Sunburn From Dash Lights

Recommended Posts

On our way from Ohio to Folly Beach SC the good ole (roll eyes) 2007 is250 AWD downshifted and revved to about 5K rpm and didn't want to go above 60mph. I tried sport mode but it still wouldn't go to OD. The vsc and I forget all what lights came on, the engine light was blinking. It happened close to a dealership that my father in law built (luckily) because it was last Sunday and enterprise was closed. He called the owner and he let us use a Mitsubishi gallant to make the trip. We got back today and the Lexus got us back without issue. Could the transmission be on its way out?

Hello 3deez. Did you find out what happened?

No I have not. I read the codes and it said po606. Pcm or something. I'm just waiting for it to happen again. I do have a theory tho. About two weeks ago I noticed the passenger floor was wet from the AC. I put it on the lift and used needle nose pliers to pull the condensate drain grommet out and water came pouring out,so I'm thinking maybe the pcm had moisture and it'll be OK when it dries out. I doubt it tho. Thanks for asking.
