Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, i just got my 2007 RX 350 as my 18 years old birthday gift. However as Calgary got some snow a few days ago, i took my baby to a auto car wash in Petro-Canada. After that night, the mirrors turn blue with bubbles inside.

Tried to turn on the side mirror heating, doesnt clear out the blue fluid inside, desperated, please help!:(

The outside mirror glass on toyota vehicles are usually pried out with a very small blade screwdriver or removed using the shop towel method. I recently remove the mirror glass from our Prius to install turn signal mirror covers and it was easy. Be careful of the wire and connectors for the mirror heat. The mirror glass snaps back into place.

The following thread has instructions for an RX400h and a photo of the plastic plate that the mirror attaches to: http://us.lexusowner...placement-help/

It looks like the procedure is the same as I used for our new Prius wagon but I used a small blade screw driver to release the lower two clips instead of my fingertips.

If you buy new mirror glass modules, verify that the glass supports the features your RX has ... e.g. heating, autodimming.
