LS600HL_wi Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 seeking aftermarket (starting) battery for 2008 LS 600hl. Dealer price is $500. Anything special about this battery, that it is so expensive? What are my options? Has anyone tried after market battery for this car. If you don't have the LS 600HL, please don't reply. The battery is different from the non hybrid LS. I don't want to digress.. 1

kyled Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 how hard is it to get at the battery for an LS400? i know on some foreign brands its behind the tire.
lenore Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 You put this in the wrong forum, but here is your answer http://www.ehow.com/how_7708636_change-battery-1996-lexus-ls400.html
dwl in TN Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 i just replaced the battery to my 2008 LS600hL myself with the top of the line replacement battery from Auto Zone designed specifically for this vehicle. It cost me about $130. And it has a 5 year warranty. It is not difficult to do. AND if you drive your vehicle to Auto Zone, they will pull out your old battery and drop in the new one for you at no additional charge. In fact, they will give you some credit for recycling your old battery. 1
