Transmision Lighting

Hi,

If you are referring to the "D","N","R","1","2" - these are the gear indicators, and yes, usually they light up if the key is in the ignition and turned on. If your indicator lights are not, then it is possible the bulbs are burned out, although not likely they would all fail at the same time!!

It is more likely that you have some kind of break in the wiring, or some other type of problem with your wirint or switching in the neutral start switch.

Hope this helps.

When you pulled the center console out, did you happen to replace the VRS and the heated seats connectors (and get them firmly seated into the sockets?)? One of my heated seat button bulbs just burned out, which I have ordered from Sewell. $6.50 or so + $9 shipping. Ouch. Ordered another one just in case any of the other bulbs decide to call it quits, and to spread the $9 shipping costs just a little.

Seems a little odd that your lights would be going out at an accelerated rate. If the connectors weren't seated firmly, then they could have been dislodged with when you re-installed the center console.
